TACOMA, Wash. — It only took a few hours before one of the true all-time Star Track spectacles entered the arena Thursday.
Mead’s Simon Rosselli, the king of all kings in Washington high school track and field thrower history, flashed smiles, doled out hugs — and yes, threw the iron shot put very far in front of 300 spectators on a warm but windy opening day of the WIAA Class 4A championships at the Mount Tahoma Stadium.
