Ukrainian-born Yevhen Zhmailo is the all-time greatest triple jumper in Washington high school history

RENTON, Wash. — For a teenager regularly flying as far as almost humanly-possible, the only thing off limits for Yevhen Zhmailo this week is stepping on blacktop.

Zhmailo has strict orders not to be anywhere near a 10-foot-high hoop.

“No basketball,” Zhmailo said.
