Davis leaves no doubt on who No. 1 is in Washington high school girls basketball

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Davis girls basketball coach Akil White proclaimed that championship pedigree travels.

“We want the big games,” White said.

And none were bigger so far in 2025-26 than the one Monday night when the defending Class 4A champion Pirates traveled across the mountains to face a young and hungry Bellevue squad, which is No. 1 in 3A.
