BURIEN, Wash. — Much like his seamless path to sacking the quarterback, Derek Colman-Brusa didn’t miss a step Wednesday in retracing his exciting football journey.

It started when he was a 7-year-old playing in the West Seattle Wildcats youth league to most recently dominating as the state’s premier pass rusher as an all-state defensive end at Kennedy Catholic.

And another chapter officially began Wednesday as Colman-Brusa — the state’s top senior recruit — faxed in his letter of intent to the University of Washington on national early signing day.
