Brock Benson has been through the blender of football offenses during his time as the Colville High School quarterback.

In his debut season as a sophomore in 2023, Benson operated what everyone around town was used to for years — a power-running double-wing formation under former coach Greg Mace.

When the Crimson Hawks hired new coach William Benbrook away from the Yelm staff in 2024, the offense changed drastically. Benbrook installed a spread formation for Benson’s junior season.

And now?

Benson gets the best of both worlds — and likes it.
