Here are 8 MLK Day holiday high school basketball tournaments going on in Washington on Monday

On every third Monday in January, civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is recognized on a federal holiday around the country.

One of the ways he is celebrated is through basketball.

In western Washington, eight MLK Day holiday tournaments are being held at local gymnasiums - from as far south as Longview to Seattle.
