KENNEWICK, Wash. — You know that high-mileage, 30-year-old John Deere tractor that sits out in the back field, sputtering when you start it up?

That was the Chiawana offense for three quarters Friday night.

But just like that reliable oldie-but-goodie power grader, the fourth-ranked (Class 4A) Riverhawks, too, roared to life once warmed up, scoring three touchdowns over the final nine minutes to turn away No. 4 (3A) Kennewick, 24-10, in a showdown between undefeated 4A/3A Mid-Columbia Conference co-leaders Friday night at Lampson Stadium.
