TACOMA, Wash. — After watching Kitiona Tupua do something rarely seen in 4A SPSL football — dominate in the trenches as a ninth grader — Puyallup High School coach D.J. Mims thinks a logical step will follow this fall.

“Be the all-state player who wrecks a football game,” Mims said.

After what Tupua has shown during the offseason camp circuit, that trajectory seems inevitable.
