Is one of the state's most impressive winning streaks ever in jeopardy of ending?
A hallmark of consistency under former longtime coach Marc Wiese, Puyallup baseball has won 18 SPSL championships in a row

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Popular “Field No. 5” at Heritage Recreation Center is largely regarded as “The House that Wiese Built.”
Now that isn’t literally true - Heritage opened in 2006, just a few years before former longtime coach Marci Wiese and the Puyallup High School baseball program started one of state’s most impressive winning streaks.
Entering this spring, the Vikings have won or shared the 4A SPSL title for 18 consecutive seasons.
But in baseball-metaphorical terms, this is a field that was seemingly built to celebrate the longstanding success of the purple-and-gold power brokers.
