TACOMA, Wash. — By now, everyone knows the path to the WIAA Class 2A boys basketball crown runs through defending state champion Bremerton.

The Knights return four of five starters, including top 2027 recruit Jalen Davis - arguably the best two-way player in the state of Washington. And their lineup has filled out with better depth.

Many teams want to avoid Bremerton as long as possible.

Not the Renton RedHawks, whose alumnus coach Rashaad Powell said he wanted to draw the Knights early in the state playoffs.
