Reigning 3A/2A Wesco player of the year has been playing more point guard as a senior before heading off to Santa Clara

Back in her Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) playing days, Brooke Blachly was fortunate to join one of the area’s best grade-school basketball teams.

Because there were rules in place to curb blowout victories, Blachly also had a playing guideline set by her father, Jason:

She wasn’t allowed to score on a layup.
