As a USC running back, Hershel Dennis was spoiled by winning. In fact, he left the program as the all-time winningest player in NCAA Division I history.

Coaching? Not so much.

What Dennis did in his four seasons at Life Christian Academy, turning a bare-cupboard program into a state-level winner in the WIAA Class 1A ranks, was certainly worth praise.

And it landed him a new job at a bigger school.
