New WIAA 2B and 1B football coaching hires for 2026: Agape Christian ready for program launch

Under Nick Mancillas, the Lions will debut in 2026 as a member of the 1B Columbia Valley League

Three years ago, Nick Mancillas thought Camas-based Agape Christian Academy had everything in place to start up a football program.

He purchased 15 sets of uniforms. He had a practice field set up at a neighboring church. And he was going to coach.

But he couldn’t get enough players out to field a team, so the idea was tabled.

“I’ve had those uniforms,” Mancillas said, “sitting here and staring at me.”
