SUMNER, Wash. — Sure, West Linn football loves its summer-breeze blowouts.

But there is something a little more satisfying bouncing off the mat for a difficult victory.

On Friday, the Oregon 6A champions faced another uphill battle against Sumner, which won the 4A title in Washington last December.

Sloan Baker passed for 240 yards and two touchdowns, and Josiah Molden’s pass interception in the final minute of the first half triggered the Lions’ rally to a 31-24 victory over the Spartans on Friday night at Sunset Chev Stadium.
