Chiawana, Bothell notch big road wins on opening weekend to join list

The first week of Washington high school football brought a little bit of everything.

There were upsets of top-five squads (Camas). There were overtime survivors (Lakes). There were wins (Bothell, Puyallup, Sumner) and losses (Mount Tahoma against out-of-state opponents.

And, of course, there were the two top-10 classification showdowns in Class 4A - Lake Stevens’ 31-26 win over Graham-Kapowsin and Moses Lake’s 34-14 win over Richland.
