The sixth week of the 2026 high school football season in Washington featured big individual performances on offense, defense and special teams.
Here are 10 standouts up for VarsityWA’s Football Athlete of the Week voting after Week 6:
Cash Barajas, Forks: Did plenty of damage on the perimeter with two touchdown receptions, including one on a running-back pass from Bubba Hernandez. Also had a fourth-quarter interception on defense in the Spartans’ 31-24 win over Adna.
Reilly Cahill, Seattle Prep: Bruiser tailback rushed for a career-high 241 yards on 19 carries, including three touchdowns as the Panthers handled West Seattle, 60-13, in 3A Metro League action.
Evan Drew, Mead: Panthers quarterback passed for 258 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 61 yards and another score as Mead won the “Battle of the Bell” game with a 49-16 victory over Mount Spokane.
Jayce Halasz, Graham-Kapowsin: Caught seven passes for 163 yards and a team-record five touchdowns in the Eagles’ 61-0 win over district rival Bethel in 4A SPSL action.
Finn Hopkins, Eisenhower: Cadets snapped a 15-game losing streak, and this athlete was a big reason why, rushing for 104 yards and four touchdowns and adding a 57-yard receiving score in a 40-13 win over Marysville-Pilchuck.
Kaliam Hunter, Bremerton: It didn’t matter who the quarterback hunter — this senior ate in the pass game as all four of his catches went for a career-high four touchdowns, totaling 149 yards in the Knights’ 39-37 win at North Mason.
Will Lynch, Lake Stevens: It’s not often a lineman gets a little love, but the offensive guard paved the way for Jayvian Ferrell’s 241-yard, four-touchdown rushing effort, and he also returned a fumble 53 yards for a touchdown in a 55-7 win over Glacier Peak.
Austin Postma, Lynden: The Lions’ two-quarterback system paid dividends in their showdown against Anacortes as Postma rushed for 163 yards and a program-record five touchdowns in a 41-26 victory.
Miles Skov, Battle Ground: Workhorse running back carried it a whopping 42 times for 247 yards and five touchdowns, sparking the Tigers to a comeback 41-30 win over Evergreen of Vancouver. Skov eclipsed 1,000 yards for the season.
Adin Spuler, Northwest Christian of Colbert: Senior sizzled through the air, passing for 288 yards and four touchdowns, adding another rushing score as the Crusaders defeated Colfax, 49-6.
