TACOMA, Wash. — Growing up in Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam, Brian Vu played basketball and a little bit of soccer. That was it.
It wasn’t until Vu left to study abroad in America — and at Annie Wright Schools, in particular — that he would be introduced to a new sport that would help him get acclimated to a different country.
It was football.
And in the three years he’s been playing, he’s discovered he’s pretty good at it.
