With the loss of quarterback Brady Bonnell, center, to a season-ending foot injury, it’s been players such as Maddux Provence, left, and Owen Keene, right, who have helped keep the Bears’ chances for a 4A NPSL title alive. (Lauren Smith / VarsityWA)

With the devastating loss of sensational dual-threat quarterback Brady Bonnell at the end of its Week 2 game against Sumner, Tahoma could have watched its season sink like buried treasure to the bottom of the ocean.

Other position groups, mainly consisting of 36 seniors, wouldn’t let that happen.
