EDMONDS, Wash. — Left-handed ace Rodrigo Montano pitched a complete-game three-hitter, and fifth-ranked Eastlake punched its ticket to the WIAA Class 4A baseball playoffs with a 5-3 victory over defending state champion Lake Washington in the District 1/2 tournament Saturday at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

It was the Wolves’ third victory in four games against the No. 9 Kangaroos this spring — all coming after the two 4A KingCo rivals met for the 2025 state championship in Yakima.
