Which former Washington high school baseball stars were selected in 2026 MLB Draft?

The two-day 2026 MLB Draft concluded Sunday — with four former Washington high school standouts selected on the final day.
Here’s a look at the four NCAA Division I pitchers who were selected:
RHP ALEX OVERBAY
Pittsburgh Pirates — Round 8, No. 228 overall
At Arizona State and UNLV: Joined Arizona State for 2026 after playing first two college seasons at UNLV, and posted a 1-3 record and 5.79 ERA in 20 appearances (four starts) for the Sun Devils, striking out 50 and walking 27 in 42 innings. In 16 relief appearances, had a 3.16 ERA with 40 strikeouts and 17 walks in 31 1/3 innings. Compiled a 5-5 record and 6.41 ERA in 42 games (four starts) across three college seasons with 93 strikeouts and 47 walks.
At Tumwater: Key in T-Birds’ back-to-back 2A state championship runs in 2022 and 2023, and earned 2A EvCo MVP and 2A player of the year honors as a senior. High school coach was his father, Lyle Overbay, a Centralia product who played in 14 major-league seasons from 2001-14.
LHP MILES GOSZTOLA
Los Angeles Dodgers — Round 8, No. 253 overall
At Oregon and Gonzaga: After playing first two college seasons at Gonzaga, joined Oregon for 2026 and posted a 3-3 record and 3.61 ERA across 17 games (10 starts), striking out 69 while walking 25 across 62 1/3 innings. Has a 12-15 record and 5.26 ERA in 48 games (34 starts) — with 202 strikeouts and 77 walks in 191 2/3 innings — across three college seasons.
At West Seattle: Two-time all-state selection as a junior and senior, and 3A Metro League MVP as a junior. Wildcats placed fourth in 3A state playoffs each of his final two seasons in 2022 and 2023.
RHP WYATT QUEEN
Seattle Mariners — Round 11, No. 340 overall
At Oregon State and Everett CC: Played past two seasons at Oregon State, compiling a 4-3 record and 2.85 ERA in 42 games (six starts), and struck out 139 batters while walking 37 across 94 2/3 innings. Started college career at Everett CC and had a 9-1 record and 0.94 ERA in 11 starts, striking out 65 while walking 15 in 57 1/3 innings.
At Lake Stevens: 4A Wesco MVP (5-1, 0.74 ERA) as senior played for a Vikings team that advanced to the District 1/2 playoffs in each of his final two high school seasons.
RHP ISAAC YEAGER
Chicago White Sox — Round 14, No. 405 overall
At Oregon State and UW: Posted a 6-2 record and 2.04 ERA in 25 relief appearances in first season at Oregon State — striking out 49 and walking 11 in 39 2/3 innings — after playing three years at UW. Across four college seasons, appeared in 79 games in relief with a 12-4 record, 4.05 ERA and seven saves, striking out 141 while walking 57.
At Bishop Blanchet: All-3A Metro League performer advanced to the 3A state playoffs as a senior in 2022.
