SEATTLE — After a night of being smashed, rattled and pushed back, O’Dea had one final long look at the vast field at Husky Stadium.

A defense of its Class 3A football championship was on the line against equally-determined Mount Tahoma, which had just taken its first lead of the game with 5 1/2 minutes remaining.

And what did the Irish do?

Prevail in their most difficult test of the season.
