Hornets handle Federal Way at home Tuesday to give longtime coach of perennial playoff contender a milestone victory

BUCKLEY, Wash. — Amid all the hugs and big-crowd celebration, six fourth-graders from the local Sting youth program came up to longtime White River High School girls basketball coach Chris Gibson.

One of the girls, whose twin sisters just recently graduated from the program, made a confident declaration after Gibson just won his 700th career game, becoming the fourth Washington high school girls coach in WIAA history to reach that mark.
