It’s opening week of the 2025 high school football season in Washington, and VarsityWA is tracking results for the all-classification Top 25.

Check back throughout the weekend for scores, game details and what’s on tap next week.

No. 1 O’Dea

Lost at No. 9 Graham-Kapowsin, 40-38

Lost QB Hutton Leverett (shoulder) early, and looked out of sorts — until fourth quarter.

Next week: at Rainier Beach, 7 p.m. Thursday

No. 2 Sumner

Lost at No. 6 Lake Stevens, 31-28

Losing in final seconds hurts, but Nate Donavan-to-Braylon Pope signs are promising.

Next week: vs. Kennedy Catholic, 7 p.m. Friday

No. 3 Bellevue

Defeated Bethel, 35-14

Young running backs shine. So did QB Kason Carta, who throws, runs for touchdown.

Next week: vs. Lake Stevens, 7 p.m. Friday

No. 4 Gonzaga Prep

Defeated Ridgeline, 38-10

Passing juggernaut? QB Sam Kincaid has four touchdowns, three to RB Jonah Keller.

Next week: at Ferris, 8 p.m. Friday

No. 5 Chiawana

Defeated Sageview, 63-0

Stop at “Cissne Crossings” to watch Tate (fumble recovery), Cooper (long run) score.

Next week: vs. Kamiakin, 7 p.m. Thursday
