The high school football state playoffs continue Friday and Saturday, and VarsityWA will be tracking the results of quarterfinals games in every classification.
Check back throughout the weekend for scores, game details and what’s on tap next week.

CLASS 4A
SATURDAY
No. 6 Graham-Kapowsin 42, No. 3 Gonzaga Prep 35
Sophomore A.J. Tuivaiave threw for a career-high 539 yards and three touchdowns as the Eagles racked up 661 yards of offense, and never trailed in upending the Greater Spokane League champions.
No. 5 Sumner 34, No. 13 Glacier Peak 17
Lance McGee rushed for three TDs, and WR Braylon Pope’s 25-yard score on a reverse late put game out of reach for good as Spartans set up rematch with 4A SPSL rival Puyallup.
No. 2 Lake Stevens 76, No. 7 Moses Lake 41
Moses Lake’s Brady Jay had six touchdown passes to set the WIAA single-season passing TD mark (72), but it was all Vikings, who had 712 yards of offense and 11 TDs to advance, led by QB Blake Moser (424 total yards, seven total TDs).
No. 1 Puyallup 49, No. 9 Skyline 20
QB Noah Smith and RB Malcolm Akuffo each totaled three TDs as undefeated Puyallup cruised to semifinals. Puyallup now hosts rival Sumner in replay of early October 4A SPSL meeting, which Vikings won, 58-22.

CLASS 3A
FRIDAY
No. 4 Bellevue 49, No. 5 Lakes 18
Wolverines piled up 530 yards of offense — all on the ground — to return to semifinals. RB Reylen Witherspoon, FB Max Jones and QB Kason Carta all eclipsed 100 yards rushing and had two touchdowns apiece.
SATURDAY
No. 1 O’Dea 56, No. 8 Sedro-Woolley 21
The defending state champions amassed 343 rushing yards, and Keelan Thomas returned a fumble 18 yards for a touchdown as the Irish won at Renton Memorial to advance to the state semifinals.
No. 3 Eastside Catholic 41, No. 6 Kennewick 0
Asa Thompson highlighted a big first quarter (27 points) by taking a punt back 73 yards for a touchdown, and the Crusaders blanked the Lions in Sammamish.
No. 2 Mount Tahoma 42, No. 10 Lincoln of Tacoma 14
Four different running backs scored rushing touchdowns, and UW commit Elijah Durr returned one of Sione Kaho’s two second-half interceptions 46 yards for a touchdown to send the Thunderbirds to the state semifinals for the first time since 1980.

Ryan Harrington threw for 403 yards and four touchdowns, two to Idaho commit Luca Moore, and the Seahawks shook off a slow start to topple the 2A SPSL champions.
No. 2 Tumwater 27, No. 7 Franklin Pierce 6
Tyler Briscoe rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and the T-Birds advanced to the state semifinals for a third consecutive season with a win at Sid Otton Field.
No. 3 East Valley of Yakima 27, No. 6 Lynden 24
Cody Gasseling led the way with three TDs (two rushing, one receiving) as undefeated East Valley advanced to the state semifinals for the first time since 2004.
No. 1 Archbishop Murphy 52, No. 9 Sehome 20
Henry Gabalis’ school-record 100-yard interception return for a touchdown turned away a promising Sehome opening drive, and got the Wildcats rolling to the state semifinals.

Toga Tigilau rallied the Mountaineers, who erased a fourth-quarter deficit by throwing a touchdown pass to Jet Ross, and rumbling for a 45-yard score — one of his three touchdowns on the ground.
No. 1 Royal 48, No. 8 Seton Catholic 10
1A SCAC player of the year Shea Stevenson scored three first-half touchdowns, including one on a 29-yard interception return in the first quarter as the Knights cruised to the state semifinals.
No. 2 Cashmere 59, No. 10 Life Christian 16
QB Rylan Hatmaker collected four TD passes and the Bulldogs’ defense sacked Life Christian QB Jabez Boyd 11 times and held him without a touchdown in a state quarterfinal win in the Apple Bowl.
No. 4 Lynden Christian 56, No. 5 Montesano 35
QB Eli Maberry passed for 340 yards and six TDs — half of them to Boyce Robertson (182 receiving yards) — and added another rushing score to send the Lyncs to the semifinals.

Freeman QB Logan Schultz took offense 53 yards in four plays to score touchdown, but was tackled on game-tying two-point conversion run with 33 seconds remaining.

No. 7 Adna 42, No. 2 Newport 32
The Pirates took down the highest seed in the WIAA playoffs, racking up 375 rushing yards, including a game-high 212 yards and three touchdowns from RB Beau Miller.
No. 3 Tri-Cities Prep 55, No. 11 Liberty Bell 12
The Jaguars are first-time state semifinalists as RB Jake Sherfey had three first-half rushing TDs, and the defense recorded 10 sacks and had a pick-six.
No. 1 Toledo 42, No. 8 Napavine 0
QB Eli Weeks accounted for four touchdowns, including three rushing scores, and the Riverhawks held Napavine to 153 total yards in blanking the 2024 state runner-up.

No. 1 DeSales 58, No. 9 Neah Bay 24
QB Cohen Wood threw for 359 yards and five TDs - 212 yards of it to WR Maddox Filan - and the Irish shook off a slow start to cruise into the state semifinals.
No. 3 Wahkiakum 66, No. 6 Pomeroy 34
Wahkiakum piled up 747 yards of offense — led by QB Jayden Stoddard (551 total yards, seven TDs) — to advance to the state semifinals for the first time since 2004 (2B).
No. 4 Almira-Coulee-Hartline 61, No. 5 Naselle 26
Junior Max Grindy accounted for 266 yards of the team’s 493 yards of offense, scoring three total TDs as ACH secured a return trip to the state semifinals.
