The first weekend of October — Week 5 — featured a myriad of showdowns with heavy league-championship implications.

And the movement in this week’s VarsityWA all-classification Top 25 reflects all the craziness that happened.

Puyallup was the biggest winner, moving up into the top 10 for the first time after its 58-22 victory over reigning Class 4A champion Sumner on Saturday night. The fast-rising Vikings are now No. 6.

Also, undefeated 3A Wesco favorite Sedro-Woolley moves into the rankings for the first time at No. 25.
