Vote for VarsityWA's Football Athlete of the Week, Week 12
Here are 10 standouts up for VarsityWA’s Football Athlete of the Week voting after Week 12 state quarterfinals games

The 12th week of the high school football season in Washington featured big individual performances on offense, defense and special teams.
Here are 10 standouts up for VarsityWA’s Football Athlete of the Week voting after state quarterfinals games:
Henry Gabalis, Archbishop Murphy: Arizona commit recorded a school-record 100-yard interception return for a touchdown against Sehome and Nolan Wright on the Mariners’ opening drive as the No. 1 Wildcats cruised, 52-20, in the state quarterfinals.
Grey Jacobson, Cashmere: 1A SCAC defensive player of the year recorded a career-best seven of the team’s 11 sacks of Life Christian’s Jabez Boyd as an edge rusher in the Bulldogs’ 59-16 state quarterfinal win at the Apple Bowl. Also had 10 tackles.
Brady Jay, Moses Lake: Became the new king of touchdown passes for a single season (72) in Washington in a 76-41 loss at Lake Stevens in the state quarterfinals. Jay finished 36-of-50 for 454 yards and six TDs to overtake Prosser’s Kellen Moore (67).
Jonah Keller, Gonzaga Prep: In the team’s 42-35 state quarterfinal loss to Graham-Kapowsin, the senior was electric with four total touchdowns, including three of 60 yards or longer. He finished with 133 rushing yards, and five catches for 90 yards.
Eli Maberry, Lynden Christian: Operated the offense to near-perfection, completing 18-of-23 passes for 340 yards and six touchdowns, including three to receiver Boyce Robertson. Added a rushing score in the Lyncs’ 56-35 win over Montesano.
Beau Miller, Adna: In a Class 2B quarterfinal matchup of physical run games, Miller was a bell cow — 37 carries, a game-high 212 yards and three touchdowns — in the Pirates’ 42-32 win over Newport. His two fourth-quarter scores sealed the deal.
Luca Moore, Anacortes: There’s a reason he’s headed to Idaho — he is explosive. Moore caught 10 passes for a career-high 230 yards and two touchdowns (37, 29), and had an interception on defense in the Seahawks’ 35-14 quarterfinal win over Orting.
Blake Moser, Lake Stevens: The first-year starting quarterback was simply unstoppable in the Vikings’ 76-41 quarterfinal win over Moses Lake with 342 passing yards and five touchdowns, and 82 rushing yards and a pair of scores.
Shea Stevenson, Royal: In the Knights’ 48-10 state quarterfinal victory over Seton Catholic, he caught a pair of touchdown passes (36, 30) while returning an interception 29 yards for a score. Finished with eight receptions for 135 yards.
A.J. Tuivaiave, Graham-Kapowsin: Some have called it the best performance by an Eagles’ quarterback ever. The sophomore diced up Greater Spokane League champion Gonzaga Prep (30-of-35, 539 yards, three TDs) in a 42-35 road victory.
